accesskey ="["
Glentunnel School is a co-education contributing primary school for Year 1 - 6 children.Established in 1878 the school and the community have had a rich and varied history. The district was once known for its Coal and Brickmaking. It was once one of three state buildings in the area and now the only one left in existence. Completely rebuilt in 1949, alterations have continued until the present day.
During the 1970s the school decreased in size like all schools in the Malvern area due to the expansion of the local high school to accommodate year 7 and 8 students. The students attending the school come from a large geographical area and a proportion of the students travel to school each day by bus.
